Hi! Welcome to Coffee Cats and Kids – I’m so glad you’re here! Let me tell you a little about myself. I’m a mom in my mid-thirties with twin boys, 2 cats, and a full time career. Like all humans, I have positive and negative traits. I tend to dwell on the negatives too much and often forget the positives in myself. I’m a *real* mom who yells and hides in the pantry to eat peanut butter and/or cookies. My cats are high anxiety and haven’t been the same since the kids were born. My husband loves me but also thinks I’m too much of a dreamer (which isn’t untrue). But I love my kids, my work, my husband, and my crazy cats.
I grew up in Connecticut but I’ve lived in Orlando, Florida for the past 6 years. I miss home and the farmland of beautiful CT. But the weather got into the 30s today here in Florida, and I then remembered why I don’t live in CT anymore. Truthfully, we moved here for my husband’s career and it took about 6 years to fully settle in and accept that we’re not leaving. My children will be born and raised Floridians. My boys are 4 years old and they are balls of wrestling, often fighting, energy! And I love them so much.
I’m a non-diet dietitian who specializes in eating disorders, intuitive eating, digestive issues, and vegetarian nutrition. I love what I do, and my clients are amazing, brave, beautiful individuals. I’m blessed to do the work I do.
I’m a grown ass adult who’s really just an emo kid at heart. I love FOB, Panic at the Disco, and the Get Up Kids. I rarely get to attend enough concerts since having kids, but I went to 2 this year, including Taking Back Sunday and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. My husband is a wrestling fan and since I’ve known him for like 20 years now, I’m a wrestling fan by default. But also, how can you not get into the drama of it all? It’s pretty entertaining. So we do regular wrestling date nights. Super romantic, I know.
Our go-to restaurants include Subway, Taco Bell, and Tijuana Flats. Really, our kids pick the places and we just follow along. I believe in accepting all and fighting for human rights. We try to be as green as possible, but it’s definitely a work in progress.
Now leave me a comment and tell me about you!
